Imam Siraj Wahhaj

Siraj Wahaj, Imam of Masjid At-Taqwa in New York is well known among Muslims in North America as a dynamic speaker and tireless supporter of Islamic causes. Imam Siraj Wahhaj, currently the Imam of Masjid Al-Taqwa in Brookyn, New York, accepted Islam in 1969. He received Imam training at Ummul Qura University of Makkah in 1978 and has gone on to become a national and international speaker on Islam. He received high praises from the media and NYPD for initiating anti-drug patrol in Brooklyn, New York in 1988. Imam Wahhaj was the first person to give an Islamic invocation to the United States Congress.

Imam Suhaib Webb

Suhaib Webb is a Graduate of University of Central Oklahoma with a background in Education & Azhar University from the College of Shariah (Islamic Law). Imam Suhaib has served various communities in North America and is currently the founder of S.W.I.S.S. He frequently shares advice, lessons & "SnapWas" on his SnapChat. He currently resides in New York serving as Scholar in Residence at the Islamic Center at NYU

Imam Delouer Hussain

Imam Dalouer is one of the former national president of the Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA). He is also the Imam and Khatib of Baitul Mamur Masjid, Brooklyn, NY. He served as a Shura member and executive director of MUNA on several terms. Imam Dalouer attained his Master's in Hadith Studies from Madrasha Board in Dhaka and Master's in Theology and Islamic Studies from Islamic University of Khostia, Bangladesh. He has published many books on Islam, most notably "Taqwa and Muthaqi," and several Islamic research articles published in newspapers and magazines. He is a frequent speaker at Islamic events and has emerged as one of the renowned Islamic scholars in Muslim Community.

Imam Dr. Mohamed Abu Taleb

Mohamed AbuTaleb serves as the Imam of the Islamic Association of Raleigh. He is a lifelong student of the Quran and Islamic studies, has studied with a number of credentialed scholars and teachers and has been blessed to memorize the Holy Quran. Mohamed has pursued seminary training through the Cambridge Islamic College and Al-Salam Institute in the United Kingdom, and studied under teachers trained at Islamic universities in India, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. Mohamed Abu Taleb also shares a love of science and reason and completed his Ph.D. and Master's degrees in electrical engineering from MIT along with degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of Maryland.

Imam Asif Hirani

Dr. Asif Hirani completed his Bachelors of Business Administration in Fashion designing before switching gears to the pursuit of Islamic Studies. He has completed a 1 year "Quran understanding" course at Quran Academy (founded by Dr.Israr Ahmed) and studied Arabic & Hadith in University of Abu Bakr, After which he completed his Masters in Islamic Studies (Usul-ud-din) from Karachi University and finally attained his PhD from Al-Madina International University in Tafsir & Uloom-ul-Quran.

Dr. Altaf Husain

Dr. Altaf Husain: Dr. Altaf Husain has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, a M.S. and Ph.D. in Social Work. He serves as Executive Assistant for Academic Affairs in the Office of the Provost at Howard University and is a double alumnus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He was elected as ISNA Vice President in 2014 and served formerly as a board member and chair of the Leadership Development Committee. His past service to the community includes serving as a two-term national president of the Muslim Students Association and an executive committee member of the Muslim Alliance in North America.

Abu Ahmed Nuruzzaman

Brother Abu Ahmed Nuruzzaman is a Former President of Muslim Ummah Of North America. A prolific speaker, Brother Nuruzzaman is an early childhood educator in New York City.

Dr. Farhan Abdul Azeez

Farhan Abdul Azeez was born and raised in Michigan. He attended Michigan Islamic Academy, a full-time Islamic school, from KG-12th grade. His passion for Islam led him to study Arabic and Tajweed during the summer of 2004 in Egypt. He later served as an Islamic Studies teacher to High School Grades at the same school. Farhan has studied extensively with Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda, and others at the Bayyinah Dream program, wherein he graduated and earned a diploma in the Arabic language. He is also an avid student with AlMaghrib Institute, having taken classes with them since 2004. He teaches a course (available online) titled "Sweetness of Salah: Developing Khushoo' in Your Prayers", a 16-part in-depth series on how to enjoy and experience Khushoo' your prayers. He hopes to have his next course, "Sweetness of Hajj" available online soon Insha'Allah. He has fundraised extensively for Islamic Relief USA, as well as Helping Hand USA and other masajid and social service organizations. He also travels around the US to give talks at youth groups, MSAs, Masjids, community events, and conferences. Farhan completed his undergraduate studies from Michigan State University (MSU) in 2006, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology. During his time there, he served as Public Relations head and later President of the Muslim Students Association. He also went to medical school at MSU, graduating from Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. He currently is a medical resident specializing in Emergency Medicine. Due to his love of cats, some of his friends have dubbed him "Abu Hurairah."

Dr. Syedur Rahman Chowdhury

Dr. Syedur R. Chowdhury is an anesthesiologist in Flushing, New York and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area. He received his medical degree from Chittagong Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Syedur Rahman Chowdhury is National Vice President of MUNA. And he is responsible for education and leadership development within MUNA. He is also facilitating the activities of MUNA Youth and Young Sisters of MUNA. Before his current responsibility, he served as National President, Vice President, Secretary General, Director of education, Director of women wing of MUNA. He has been elected as member of MUNA National Shura many times. He was graduated from Chittagong University, Bangladesh. After migrating to USA, he went through various postgraduate education and training. He has been employed in the health care field.

Dr. Yasir Qadhi

Nihad Awad

National Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Washington, DC, America's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization. Nihad Awad is featured in The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre's "500 Most Influential Muslims 2009." Arabian Business magazine ranked Mr. Awad among 100 of the "World's Most Influential Arabs" for 2010.

Abu Samiha Sirajul Islam

Imam Abu Samiha Sirajul Islam graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia with communication and Islamic revealed knowledge in 1995 and attained a Master of LIS in 1997 also from IIUM. Taught computing and communication at Olympia College Kuala Lumpur from 1997-2000. Currently working as High School social studies teacher at Brooklyn, New York. Khatib and a Board member of Brooklyn Islamic Center. He was a former Shura member of MUNA and Former Director of MUNA Youth. Currently the National Joint Director of Education, MUNA.

Oussama Jamal

Oussama Jamal is the Secretary General of US council of Muslim Organizations, an Umbrella organization of national, regional, and local Muslim organizations. He is also the chairman of MAS –PACE, the public affairs and civic engagement Division of Muslim American Society. He is also the Mosque foundation, Bridgeview, IL and board member of Metro-Industrial Area foundation. He also serves on the State department's sub-committee on International religious freedom. Br. Oussama served in different capacity including Fox Valley Muslim Community Center, IL and former president of Council of Arab organizations, IL. He also chaired the steering committee for ISNA's annual convention for three consecutive years.

Hussam Qutub

Hussam Qutub is the Senior Vice President, National Sales Manager for Guidance Residential. Hussam joined Guidance in March 2003 and has served in a variety of Senior and Executive Management roles. His past responsibilities included vice president of Marketing and Communications, where he played a significant role in the company's first ten years of geographic expansion and was instrumental in establishing our brand. Hussam's most recent role was that of President of Guidance Home Services LLC, Guidance Residential's sister company. Before embarking on his career with Guidance, he studied international relations at George Mason University. He specializes in leadership and team building, business development, communications management, branding and positioning, public relations, digital marketing, and lead generation. Hussam has been with Guidance Residential for over 19 years

Dr. Ayman Hammous

Dr. Ayman Hammous is the executive director of Muslim American society. Dr. Ayman was a founding member of many local MAS projects including the first MAS Youth Center in the country. He was also president of the Muslim American Society of New York, an elected national General Assembly and Board of Trustees member, and an elected Vice President of MAS National.

Dr. Nakibur Rahman

Dr. Nakibur Rahman is an Assistant Professor of Finance at University of North Carolina, Pembroke. Dr. Rahman served as a Visiting faculty of financial economics at Tulane University from 2010 till 2013. Dr. Rahman completed his Ph.D. in Finance from University of New Orleans in May, 2013 and obtained Masters in Information Systems from University of Maine in 2003. Dr. Rahman obtained his bachelor degree in Business Administration from International Islamic University, Malaysia in 2000. He worked in Bangladesh from 2004-2006. Dr. Rahman is Human right activist and political observer. He works as an advocacy director for a Washington D.C. based human rights organization called Organization for peace and justice (OPJ). Dr. Rahman serves on the board for Human rights and development for Bangladesh (HRDB). Dr. Rahman writes in open Democracy and other platforms on issues related to human rights.
